Korean Language Course

Four-semesters system in a year promotes efficiency in studying Korean Language.

Students are organized according to the result of strict level test.

Curriculum is set according to the aim of the lesson which promotes the level of Topik in 200 hours.

Students can improve their Korean Language through various evaluations.

Counseling is offered periodically to make up for what students lack at study.

Precondition for level promotion

- The percentage of attendance: More than 80%

- The Average score: More than 70

Requirements

The minimum requirement is a high school diploma or the equivalent level of education.


Class hours

◦ Day time: Five days a week (From Mon. to Fri.), Four hours a day (From 9:00 am to 1:00 pm)

◦ Doing individual assignment with Korean buddy. (*Applicants only)

Aim of the lesson

Promotion to the next level of Topik after completion the one semester(200 hours).

    • - Express the topics related daily life in a sentence.
      - Learn vocabularies related to the life in the university and Korea.
    • Step 2
    • - Use the proper function words and express the topics in daily life for example ordering food, request and suggestion etc.

    Intermediate
    • Step 3
    • - Cover some complex topics in daily life and express in a sentence.
      - Understand and use the tense, expressions properly.
    • Step 4
    • - Explain and describe the surrounding circumstances properly.
      - Express one's opinion about the common topics with various vocabularies.

    Advanced
    • Step 5
    • - Give one's opinion about the abstract situation.
      - Understand honorific, Korean proverb and idiomatic phrases.
    • Step 6
    • - Convey opinions at the official situation and make a draft like newspaper, official documents.
      - Enable to understand lectures at the Korean college by using vocabularies, for example, basic chinese, onomatopoeia and mimetic word etc.

Subjects

◦ Subjects are composed of speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar.

◦ Class hours are split up according to the levels.

◦ Class is made up of three types according to the educational aim of parts.

(Types: Learner-centred, task-centred and TOPIK-centred)

> According to the rule of Immigration regulation, applicants have to show their ability to pay the tuition and other costs(for 6 months). For this reason, this center require applicants to pay $3,000 for deposit(including tuition for six months and application fee etc).
